It has no legal effect.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The data set is for visual presentation of the Groundwater Freshwater Management Units and how it relates to the Plan CMA. As the groundwater and surface water maps are based on the </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-style:italic;"><SPAN>Qmap</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>and REC 1 watershed boundaries, the boundaries at the CMA do not align. This is a function of the two different datasets and a pragmatic approach of aligning the boundaries for visual purposes has been undertaken. </SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>As a result, this alignment is subjective. </SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The visual dataset for the Regional Plan is:</SPAN></SPAN></P><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Northlands mapped aquifers as spatially defined in the </SPAN></SPAN><A href="https://thehub.nrc.govt.nz/id:A832705"><SPAN><SPAN>Mangeya 2012 Report</SPAN></SPAN></A><SPAN><SPAN>; and;</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>A 200 metre internal boundary of the Coastal Marine Area July 2017 (CMA 17) – referred to as the coastal strip. </SPAN></SPAN></P></LI></UL><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>With the following adjustments:</SPAN></SPAN></P><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Where there was an internal gap between the CMA 17 and the mapped aquifer, the mapped aquifer boundary was extended to the CMA 17. </SPAN></SPAN></P></LI></UL><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>Where the mapped aquifer extended over the CMA 17 the mapped aquifer boundary remained as is.</SPAN></P></LI></UL><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The data set was then displayed as follows</SPAN></SPAN></P><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Coastal mapped aquifers and 200m coastal strip. </SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Aupouri Aquifer</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Other Aquifers - internal mapped and areas unmapped.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI></UL><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 7 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The appropriate scale of use </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>is 1:50,000 </SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
