The data details the location of deflection and stop banks as well as the borrow pit/spillway. These assets are designed to protect urban and rural areas from flooding as a result of flooding rivers. Flood protection schemes often include ancillary works such as channel realignment or gravel removal. The Regional Council is responsible for consenting any flood control schemes and their associated physical assets.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>The appropriate scale of use <\/SPAN><SPAN>is 1:25,000<\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN /><\/P><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV>",
